Day One. Mitrovica Regional Restoration Camp.

Here we are back in Mitrovica for another exciting CHwB and HwB Regional Restoration Camp! (Another for Alex and I at least, but Pieta and Sophie are quickly settling into Balkan life). We are very pleased to have returned and be working once again with the Museum of the City of Mitrovica. After a very warm welcome with the usual wonderful hospitality of tea and treats, we were given a tour so that our new members of the HwB crew could familiarise themselves, and us old hands got a chance to see what the Museum had been up to in our absence. We were delighted to see that the Museum had built on our work and secured some external grants in order to improve their storage areas with new metal racking and most of their costume collection now beautifully covered to protect them with simple cotton bags.

Now we are back at the hotel drawing on the information of the day, making some tweaks to the schedule so that we can put together the best programme for the Museum and the participants. But looking forward to a trip out with the Museum staff to watch the big Albania match with a few Pejas!
