Day Three: Object selection begins

Today was our last day to get everything organised ahead of the participants arriving, most interestingly it was our chance to look at the Mitrovica Museum collection and working with the museum staff to select objects for the participants. The collection is varied and a fascinating view of the archaeological and historical background of the area.

The objects that we have selected are a great mix of material types from different time periods, this will allow participants to think about and work on objects that have different documentation and conservation issues.  It was important to choose objects that showed both simple and complex conservation issues so that we can suit all the participants’ needs and experiences.
